Andrea Coote MSc DC MRCC
Having studied biology at Kings College, London, Andrea went to work for GlaxoWelcome specialising in Asthma and its treatment. After several years she realised that this would not fulfil her ambitions in life and wanted and needed a far more hands on approach to medicine.
At this time she was a very keen rower and had had the honour to row for University first squad for several years, unfortunately this resulted in problems with her shoulder and lower back .Having researched and tried various treatments, it was only chiropractic treatment that allowed her to continue to row.
It was this spark that burnt inside her while at Glaxo, so in 1995 and on acceptance, she packed her bags and headed to Bournemouth. After five years of challenging and fascinating study she graduated from the Anglo-European college of chiropractic in 2000.
She worked firstly in Sutton, and Crawley, with Brian Hammond, in large teams gaining an untold wealth of clinical skills, radiology, rehabilitation, and medical acupuncture and continued her education whilst working and began to specialise in her passion, babies, children and pregnant mothers to be.
From newborn babies to more mature patients, including a 94 years old lady, she continues to develop her skills with continued studied and the spark that glowed all those years ago is still burning brightly. She has a fascination with her profession and am known for the personal approach to patients, with her interests continuing to be treatment and management of chronic pain, exercise rehabilitation and paediatrics.
